“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”
-Carl Rogers
My approach is collaborative and practical. I offer individual and couples therapy, drawing from CBT, parts work, and EFT-informed couples therapy. You may already have a good sense of why you feel anxious, why the same relationship patterns keep appearing, or how experiences from the past continue to affect you. My aim is to help turn that understanding into meaningful change.
I have a particular focus on trauma treatment and am completing specialized training in EMDR, which I provide under supervision. I offer reduced-fee therapy, including reduced-fee EMDR, to make treatment more accessible. EMDR can be supportive for people who want to work more directly with painful experiences that continue to feel active in their lives.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and practical. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation, not something overly formal or clinical. I’ll listen carefully and make space for complexity, while also helping us stay focused on what feels most important and useful to you. I tend to be active and engaged in the work, offering reflections, asking direct questions, and helping you find concrete ways to move forward.
Together, we can make room for an honest encounter with what is difficult, and with what is possible.
I offer appointments at my office in Emeryville, or online to anyone in California. I currently have low-fee slots available in the range of $80-$150.
I earned my MSW from UC Berkeley and am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker employed by Bay Area Community Counseling and supervised by Keith Sutton, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist.
